Illustrative water resource management global projects

Hydrologic/Hydraulic Analysis of Flood Event, New Mexico. Using HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS software to simulate a specific flood event, E & E demonstrated that our client's upstream actions did not increase the likelihood or magnitude of flooding in the watershed. E & E incorporated Doppler radar precipitation estimates derived from NEXRAD data, high-resolution topographic data derived from photogrammetric surveys, high-resolution digital aerial imagery, and simulation model output to help our client prevail in litigation.

GIS-Based Water Quality Decision Support System , China. Shanghai , in the Huangpu River Basin, is China 's fastest growing industrial city. As a result, drinking water supply and industrial water supply needs frequently conflict with one another. E & E developed a highly-interactive, GIS-based modeling system to protect water quality through the monitoring of water quality changes and by providing support for response measures.

National Water Quality Plan, Morocco. E & E helped the Kingdom of Morocco develop technical tools and the legislative and institutional framework to effectively manage water quality and water pollution. E & E developed an integrated GIS database and surface water quality decision support system to evaluate multiple, and often competing, demands for water resources. Stakeholder input from industry and other interests was also coordinated by E & E.
