The Global Environment & Technology Foundation (GETF) works throughout the U.S. and internationally on a variety of clean water, environmental protection, clean energy, and security and environmental management systems projects, with an emphasis on policy development and implementation, public-private partnerships, sustainable financing mechanisms, education, training, and technology development and transfer.

GETF's efforts span the full range from the global to the most local, rural village and household level activities. Examples of services that GETF provides in the water sector include:

  • GETF helps develop and implement local, national, and international policy. GETF also helps shape and reform legal, institutional, and judicial frameworks in developing countries and countries in transition. One of GETF's core strengths is in promoting and managing public-private partnerships at the global, national, and local levels. Another major focal area for GETF involves helping partners in developing nations devise and implement sustainable financing mechanisms for water supply projects from the international to the village and household levels. The organization also works to ensure adequate water access, which includes implementing urban and rural water and energy conservation programs.
